The Portland FolkMusic Society presents the finest in folk, acoustic, and World music with its concert series.
Unless otherwise noted, concerts are held at Carvlin Hall, 1636 SE Hickory, Portland Oregon. Carvlin Hall is on the southern edge of the Ladd's Addition neighborhood,
just north of SE 17th and Division, in the St. Philip Neri Parish complex. All concerts are air-conditioned, smoke free, and handicapped
accessible (no stairs). There is ample free parking in the St Philip Neri Church parking lot (enter from 16th Ave. or Tamarack Ave.)
or you can take TriMet.
Doors open at 7 PM; shows begin at 7:30 PM. Audiences are attentive and enthusiastic, and sing along at any opportunity. Performers really enjoy playing for our crowds.
We book performers from national tours as well as regional and local talents. Some recent performers include Wayne Henderson, Pat Donohue, Gordon Bok, Peggy Seeger, Lisa Ornstein and Lauren Sheehan. From previous years we have featured Bill Staines, Rosalie Sorrels, Claudia Schmidt, Joe Jencks, Doug Smith and many others. Some top regional performers have included the Misty River Band, Linda Waterfall, Tom May, Kate Power and Steve Einhorn, the Foghorn String Band and many more.
Light refreshments are available for a nominal fee during intermission. See this year’s schedule for a list of concerts and admission prices.
